Kortny and Bobby
Surrounded by their best friends and family, Kortny and Bobby exchanged their vows to each other. Bobby, a nuclear engineer in the Navy was honored to have many of his submarine mates standing by his side during the ceremony. Hoping to receive orders to Hawaii, the new couple will certainly see allot of sun and surf, except for Bobby when he is cruising below the ocean surface. Best of luck to you both.

Ironwork of Charleston
Wanda and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. To celebrate, we visited Charleston, SC for a few days. I was quite intrigued by the ironwork that is ever present throughout the historic area. Beautiful homes and gardens are boarded by the intricate design of iron painted in black. The form of the ironwork is most intriguing when the evening sun creates wonderful shadows on buildings and pathways.

Moonlight Silhouette
The ending of a perfect day, Aubrey and Juston share a toast under the light of the full moon over Rosemont Vineyard and Winery in LaCrosse, VA. The day was full of joyful celebration, and to say that Aubrey and her bridesmaids were alot of fun is an understatement. Our best to Juston and Aubrey; may your wineglass always be full of great memories.

The Bridal Portrait
A bridal portrait can be formal and very classic, or a little more casual that brings out the personality of the bride. Susan, featured in this portrait, was photographed in a long window lit hallway in the Country Club of Virginia; James River Clubhouse. We often use up to seven strobes to create a bridal portrait, however, natural light from the large windows provided the only illumination for this portrait. We photographed a series of full length images before asking Susan to casually sit in one of the chairs from the hallway that was placed in the best position for the portrait. Her expression completes the image. As you can see, Susan was a beautiful bride, now captured in a relaxed but classic portrait. I'm sure her childhood dreams could'nt have imagined her more beautiful.

To The End of The Earth
Steve literally went to the "end of the earth" to find his bride, Renee. The two met while researching penguins on the continent of Antarctica. Many of Steve's friends from the expedition were present to witness the ceremony at Renee's family home on the banks of the James River. The river was a perfect backdrop for the ceremony as the ship's captain from the expedition performed the ceremony. The day ended with a reception at the Jefferson Hotel with dinner and dancing.

Family of Six by Twelve Feet
The Riley family has recently grown by four feet; (twins that is) Older brother, Conner and sister, Elizabeth check out the view, one foot at a time. Of course, Mom, Dad and twins, just a few months old, helped to provide their personal visual props for this memorable family portrait. Anybody have a feather?

Alyson and Bill
Alyson and Bill were married at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens on a perfect Saturday afternoon. The Rose Garden was in full splendor for this delightful couple and their guests.
The photographs are naturally beautiful with Alyson's smile (helped by Bill's good nature and affection for his bride)
